    As a working ranch, we raise cattle for use in training our Quarter Horses for cattle work and for roping, cutting, and cow-horse events.  Cattle can also be purchased for 4-H projects, pleasure, or for raising your own stock.

    Gunstock Trails are now offering riding lessons!  Lesson horses can be provided by Gunstock Ranch.

    Our Instructor

    Raia Olsen - was born and raised in Hawaii and has been involved with horses for many years.  She competed in the Hawaii High School Rodeo Association and various other equine related activities.  She graduated from BYUH in then attended Northwest College in Powell, WY and earned degrees in both Equine Riding and Training and Equine Business Management.  She was a part of the Collegiate Equine Judging Team that competed in contests at shows like the National Reining Horse Association Futurity and the American Quarter Horse Association World Show.  She also completed an internship at a performance horse barn, Double Stitched Performance Horses where they specialize in Trail and Western Pleasure horses.

        She has knowledge and experience in both Western and English disciplines to help each individual work towards their goals and to progress at a pace that is appropriate to their skills.  Private, semi-private and group lessons are offered for beginning to advanced riders ages 5 and up. 

    Lessons in: Trail, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, and Hunt Seat Equitation

    Riding Lesson Rates:
    • $60/1hr. – Lesson Horse Included
    • $45/1hr. – Using your own horse
    • $40 Keiki Lessons (5-7yrs. old) – 30 minutes lesson horse included
    • $30 Keiki Lessons (5-7 yrs. Old) – 30 minutes using own horse
    • Group Lessons and rates can be  arranged, up to 4 riders in a group.

    Gunstock Aquatics is located at Gunstock Ranch.  We offer a large variety of American Red Cross Certification courses. Emergency Response, Wilderness First Aid,  CPR , First Aid, Lifeguard Training, Babysitters Training, Water Safety Instructor Training, and Swimming Lessons for all ages and swimming abilities starting at 6 months - 101.  The pool can also be rented for parties. Call Kyndra Smith 808-293-2026 or check out www.gunstockaquatics.com  for more information.

    Daniel Olsen – grew up on a cattle ranch in Thermopolis, WY.  He has been involved with horses for many years.  He attended Northwest College where he earned degrees in Farm & Ranch Management, Agroecology and Farrier Business Management.  Dan offers Farrier services through his own business “Shod Right Farrier Service”.
